Lately, there has been a disgusting foul smell in my back yard. I didn't say much about it though. Mum discovered that the gross scent was coming from our guava tree. Fruit that has been growing on it has basically been ignored, so they have gone ripe. Ripe guava looks gross. It is soft, squishy, slimy, and brown. There was almost a whole layer of fallen guava underneath the tree. Mum took those giant tree scissors and cut off all of the branches which had fruit on it so that it would help prevent the smell. All of the guava had a maggot infestation in it, according to mum and her knowledge of food-picking. We had to take all of the branches and put them into plastic bags before putting it in the bin. Was very smelly work. >__<"
